Game of Thrones Season 8 Predictions: Dead or Alive

There are only hours before the first episode of Season 8. Here is the list of characters that we love and my speculations whether they will survive or not:

Tyrion Lannister (ALIVE) – I’m predicting he is going to survive, higher chances compared to his Targaryen counterparts aka Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen. In the books, a red priest prophecied that Tyrion, a small man will cast a big shadow, snarling in the midst of all (dragons or Targaryens).

Missandei (ALIVE) – As this is unpredictable, what if Missandei was meant to be alive as people expect her not to be?

Grey Worm (DEAD) – I think he will also die fighting either for Daenerys or for the living.

Jon Snow (DEAD) – Many fans believe that Jon Snow will be the one who will inherit the Iron Throne, as he was a nearer successor to the Iron Throne than Daenerys Targaryen. However, the prophecy to Cersei made it clear that a younger woman will be the one who will sack her from the Iron Throne. Jon Snow also served his purpose for defeating the Night King, so the writer might let him die since he has nowhere else to go. GRRM has many surprises, and the way he writes his stories are always the least you expect. In that case, I don’t see Jon as being alive until the end.

Tormund Giantsbane (DEAD) – He will probably die in Winterfell.

Ser Davos (DEAD) – He will probably among the first to die in Winterfell.

Sam (ALIVE) and Gilly (ALIVE) – I hope he finally be a Maester or live well with Gilly.

Daenerys Targaryen (DEAD) – Game of Thrones is a book of prophecies. The maegi Mirri Maz Duur told Dany that when she became pregnant again, Khal Drogo will return. However, we know that Drogo will never come back. It might mean that Daenerys will die. In the house of undying, she wasn’t able to sit on the Iron Throne as well. We also know how Cersei sabotaged Margaery, she might also do it with Dany as Cersei might think that Dany will be the one that will replace her.

Jorah Mormont (DEAD) – He’ll probably sacrifice himself for Khaleesi so I don’t see him surviving.

Melisandre and Varys (DEAD) – Melisandre stated that she and Varys will die in Westeros.

Arya Stark (ALIVE) – Arya Stark will probably return as a Faceless Assassin. She would realize that she doesn’t belong in Westeros anymore.

Gendry (ALIVE) – He is back and I think he will play a major role if the other main characters are dead in the end.

The Hound (ALIVE) – I can see The Hound triumphant in the end with the Cleganebowl fight.

The Mountain (DEAD) – Finally.

Sansa Stark (ALIVE) – I have high hopes that Sansa will survive. She earned the trust of the Knights of the Vale and the Northerners. She is the likely ruler to rebuild what’s left after the war.

Lyanna Mormont (DEAD) – She is a fan favorite, and you know what GRRM will do.

Robin Arryn (DEAD) – As I see Sansa as a ruler, Robin Arryn will probably die one way or another.

Bran Stark (UNDEAD) – I think that Bran was able to cause a lot of trouble when he time travels more. As stated, staying in the past for too long is dangerous. He will probably get killed while warging, visiting the past. He will probably become among the undead, instead of helping Jon which may cause a lot of trouble. I would probably want that Bran would just create a loop if he died from the time that he first wake up after falling.

Meera Reed (DEAD) – I think she will probably die fighting in Winterfell if ever she comes back.

Beric Dondarrion (DEAD) – In the books, Beric is already dead giving his life for Catelyn Stark’s resurrection. Because of this, he will most likely be dead after all at the end of the show.

Jaime Lannister (DEAD) – I believe either him or Arya in some way will kill Cersei. In the books, Jaime said that if Cersei dies, he will have to die too. It might be a foreshadowing that he will die as well.

Bronn (ALIVE) – I would really hope that Bronn makes it until the end, and gets his castle.

Brienne (DEAD) and Podrick (DEAD) – Brienne and Podrick probably will die saving Sansa to fulfill her duties from Catelyn Stark.

Cersei Lannister (DEAD) – It was predicted by Maggy, a fortune teller, that she will be killed by a Valonqar, Valyrian term for little brother. Hands, Tears drowning you. Jaime already lost one of his hands, so it might mean that he is not the one that will kill Cersei. Tears of Lys is s ba type of poison, so I guess the “tears drowning you” stated by the fortune teller, might mean that Cersei will die from poison.

Euron Greyjoy (DEAD) – He will probably die but not that easily.

Theon Greyjoy (DEAD) – He’ll probably sacrifice himself for Yara.

Yara Greyjoy (ALIVE) – Yara will probably be triumphant in her battle with Euron Greyjoy. I hope she is still alive.

 

Other than these predictions, here is a summary of how I think this will gonna end agreeing to other fan theories out there.
1. No one will sit on the Iron Throne.
2. Bran will be the next undead to beat.
3. Sansa and Tyrion will be the future rulers.
4. King’s Landing will be a mess because of wildfire.

Top 10 Best Tier 2 Characters after the Doctor Strange Update in Marvel Future Fight

 

Marvel Future Fight is a game where you can level up group of superheroes and villains from famous teams like Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy. In a battle, you must choose 3 characters to play. The big roster of characters includes superheroes such as Iron Man, Captain America, Captain Marvel, Spider Man, Daredevil, Luke Cage and Iron Fist. You can also mix superheroes with villains like Yellow Jacket, Green Goblin, Red Skull and even Thanos.

In Marvel Future Fight, each character has a special leader ability. For example, making Black Bolt as a leader makes a bonus of 30% additional Energy Damage. Aside from this feature, to further boost your character’s potential, you need to upgrade them from Tier-1 to Tier-2. Leveling up your characters to Tier-2 requires a lot of resources. Since you might need a help to determine the best characters to level up, I’ll give you my top picks. Runners-up for the Top 10 list: are Supergiant and Ancient One. Without further ado, here’s my list of Top 10 Tier-2 characters in this game:

SHARON ROGERS

The alternate universe daughter of Captain America is the one to beat in Marvel Future Fight. Her Javelin Blast can block damage in 5 seconds which lets her do the powerful Freedom Strike. As a Tier 2 bonus also, she receives 30% less hits from Energy and Physical damage. Devastating attacks plus cool Tier-2 defenses make Sharon Rogers the best character to level up in Marvel Future Fight.

BLACK DWARF

Thanos’ Black Order member is one of the strongest Tier-2 characters to defeat. Combat type characters might have a hard time beating him since his Physical Defense is crazy. He is also immune to guard break, and his 5th attack, Eviscerator, will make foes run for their lives.

CORVIUS GLAVE

The right hand of the Mad Titan is also one of the formidable fighters in the game. He is noted for his ability to be revived once per 3 minutes with full health which means your life bar is doubled in a 3-minute round.

DOCTOR STRANGE

The Doctor Protector of Earth is one of the best characters in Future Fight. His moveset is among the coolest ones to use in the game. When casting Sorcerer Supreme, he will be immune to damages for 7 seconds. Every now and then, he can also freeze time for 4 seconds. This gives you more free time to kill your opponents. The catch is he is very hard to level up in this game.

THANOS

Even though he’s very costly to level up, the powerful being in the Galaxy is as mighty as he seems in Marvel Future Fight. The Mad Titan recovers HP once in awhile with 4 seconds damage immunity. His 5th attack, Cosmic drop, offers great deal of damage as well as 3 seconds immunity.

EBONY MAW

The thinker of Thanos’ Black Order is also powerful in Marvel Future Fight. In terms of attack set, he is among the strongest. His Dark Meteor attack becomes deadlier as his Tier-2 passive is activated.

MOON KNIGHT

The mighty fist of Khonshu resurrected with the help of ancient diety is famous for his ability to recover 30% of his health when his HP is below 30%. Add this ability to gears and iso-sets promoting recovery, and Moon Knight won’t be killed. His Crescent Boomerang and Lunar Eclipse are also cool to use in the game.

CARNAGE

The supervillain in Spider-Man’s world is as fatal in Marvel Future Fight. His 3rd skill, Camouflage strike, unleashes symbiote strains which promote HP recovery that can also be used by his allies. When in Tier-2, his Insanity Strike gives him a 6 seconds damage immunity. A character to have, his skills are also fun to use.

HYPERION

It’s not a bird. It’s not a plane. No! It’s Hyperion. The alien protector of planet Earth is also in Marvel Future Fight. His Solar Flare and Atomic Vision are good in attacking enemies. When casting Sun-God skill, he recovers 10% of his health which helps him last longer in the battle.

PROXIMA MIDNIGHT

Last in the list is the only female in Thanos’ army, Her Midnight Sky attack is also powerful to kill her enemies. Her other attacks are pretty useful in battles since they have shock effect and stun effect which gives you more time to recharge or attack some more.

 

20 Hugot Lines From That Thing Called Tadhana

The movie literally takes us to the journey of two strangers at an Italy airport. Anthony joined Mace as she finds herself into recovering from an eight-year broken relationship. They traveled together at beautiful places in the Philippines such as Baguio and Sagada, and shared to each other what they’ve learned and still learning from love. How Sagada was captured in the early morning by the camera was breathtaking as well! Not to mention how the short story, “The Arrow With the Heart Pierced Through It” was also well-written.

What moviegoers will like about this film is its simplicity, its genuineness to give its audience a picture of what a person experiences from mending a broken heart without the needed grand gestures of sweet moments, that seems impossible to happen in reality. And If you’re looking for the famous lines in the movie. Well, you’re in the right place, as I give you not just 10, but my top 20 “hugot” (meaningful) lines from That Thing Called Tadhana (Destiny):

Arariyo: Korean buffet experience

Arariyo is a Korean buffet restaurant, and is easily one of my favorite Korean buffets so far. The name of the restaurant means fuzzy feeling of love or “kilig” in Filipino. It is in Q-Plaza near Sta. Lucia East Grand Mall in Cainta, Philippines. During my visit there, the price for their eat-all-you-can is 550 php.

They have of course the famous Korean cuisines such as Japchae, seasoned fried chicken, kimchi and pork bulgogi. You can also order your own version of Bibimbap. They also have sushi, sashimi and tempura. The unlimited food also includes unlimited samgyeopsal and shabu-shabu. They also have different ice cream flavors for dessert.

Julian Parker (Derek Ramsay) is looking for a Filipino tutor that will translate the words that he wanted to say to his Filipina ex-girlfriend. After several failed interviews, he is impressed when Tere Madlangsakay (Jennylyn Mercado) applied for that position. He then goes to Philippines, and is scheduled for Filipino language tutorials with Tere.

Aside from Julian who wanted to confront her ex-girlfriend as to why he left her, Tere is also blinded with the fact that her ex-boyfriend is just using her. She then does stupid things in the name of love. As a pair of hurting lovers, Tere and Julian shares the journey of coping with broken hearts and moving on with new beginnings.

But from the pain and happiness that people experience from falling in love, what are the things that we can learn from it? Here are some of the love lessons that the movie emphasized:

3. There’s no point in looking back over a failed relationship. The past can’t be changed.

“We can never forget the people we love. But once they’re gone, they’re gone. We can’t do anything even if we look back.”

4. You’ll regret passing an opportunity just because you’re afraid, or it didn’t work in the past.

“Dont waste an opportunity. Sayang!”
